All are welcome to participate in these evenings on the Sacred Heart of Jesus, led by Fr. Matthew Hawkins.
In this very readable encyclical, "Dilexit Nos... He loved us.", Pope Francis invites us to open our hearts more fully to the outpouring of Jesus’ love even to death and be carried to the fullness of life for which he came. In a world that seems to have lost its heart, a deepening of our relationship with Jesus leads to deep joy, trust, and gratitude. And this love flows into participation in Jesus’ healing of the world. In the encyclical, Francis is sharing the spirituality and perspective that generated his smile and sparked his boundless energy.
Participants are asked to read all or part of the week’s chapter(s) and bring a passage or thought they found compelling.
